  1. Imagine a Day Without Water Event

    October 23, 2019, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Tenth Street Plaza

    This day is to educate citizens about the importance of all aspects of water: wastewater, drinking water, stormwater, pollution prevention, and our natural resources. We will be holding the 3rd grade art contest again this year and are working on a 5th grade essay contest as well through Modesto City Schools. The winners of each will be displayed at the event. The City’s Finance Department will also be available with information on the City’s water rate assistance programs.

  2. Second Chance Week

    October 21, 2019, 8:00 AM - October 27, 2019 @ Look for donation cans at each floor of 1010 10th Street in downtown Modesto, all Stanislaus County Libraries, The State Theatre of Modesto and local supporting businesses.

    This year the City of Modesto, in collaboration with Stanislaus County will be collecting eyeglasses in all conditions for people in need all over the world. We are partnering with the non-profit organization Lions In Sight who will refurbish the eyeglasses and distribute them to various charities and give the gift of better sight to so many people.
