City of Modesto, California News Release

The City of Modesto will be accepting applications for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) funds, starting Monday January 11, 2010.  To obtain a Request for Proposal (RFP) application packet, please log on to:

CDBG program staff will conduct two technical assistance workshops for organizations interested in submitting a proposal to obtain CDBG or ESG funding.  Attendance at one of the workshops is mandatory to ensure that all agencies are up to date with our new application and will provide agencies with an opportunity to ask questions and obtain clarification on the application process. Staff will provide information on the types of eligible activities for CDBG and ESG funds, required leveraging of funds,rating criteria for proposals, and required documentation to be submitted with the proposals.  

Technical assistance workshops will be held by the City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department, in Room 2001, Tenth Street Place, 1010 Tenth Street, Modesto, California.
