Earth Day in the Park – Earth Day in the Park is one of Modesto’s largest annual events, with upwards of 15,000
in attendance, weather permitting. The event takes place in Graceada
Park and offers approximately 90 vendor booths with a
variety of earth friendly products, services and
resources as well as free entertainment and family fun.

Holiday Parade – The annual Celebration of Lights Holiday Parade and Downtown Extravaganza occurs
the first Saturday of December in downtown Modesto. Festivities include the Celebration of Lights Parade, craft

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony – Modesto's official Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony is held
the Thursday before the Celebration of Lights Holiday Parade and Downtown Extravaganza. Santa, the Mayor, and
other city officials are on hand for the festivities, with Santa and the Mayor having the honor of "flipping
