The Water Services Division is responsible for operating and maintaining the City’s drinking water system including
meter reading, water line construction, water sampling, and pump maintenance. The City’s water system includes former
Del Este Water Company systems in Empire, Salida, Waterford, Hickman, Grayson, Del Rio, and portions of Ceres and Turlock.
There are over 76,000 water connections, approximately 1,000 miles of water lines, 119 water wells, seven water tanks, one
surface water treatment facility, and one terminal storage area in the water system.
